2008:
With shows in San Francisco, Portland, Olympia and Seattle, we have sadly bid adieu to our fabulous chanteuse, Diana Hayes, as a chapter of Neung Phak comes to a close. Likewise, we wish keyboard madman Jason Stamberger happy travels. Neung Phak will rise again.

But even in death, we merchandise! Our new album is in progress, and our first CD is now BACK IN PRINT! It can be ordered here. T-shirts to be listed for sale shortly.

Neung Phak/Mono Pause heads to Europe for the very first time! Further performance/ticket details to be announced soon.

2005:
11/18/2005 -  Last-minute NEUNG PHAK live performance - On November 4, a horrendous tragedy struck the Japan-based band DMBQ - their tour van, carrying the band and their manager and friend Michelle Cable, was struck by a car in Delaware, causing the van to roll down an embankment and into the path of an oncoming truck.  Their beloved drummer, Mana "China" Nishiura, also the drummer for Shonen Knife, was ejected from the van and killed, and the rest of the passengers sustained serious injury.  Michelle Cable booked (and housed) Mono Pause on our first tour in 2002 and has been a loyal supporter; for this and every other conceivable reason we will headline a benefit show which has been arranged to help raise funds to support those who were uninsured.  It takes place at San Francisco's 12 Galaxies, 2565 Mission Street, at 9:00 PM.  Neung Phak will headline.  This was to be DMBQ's penultimate show on their US tour, so it is with no shortage of humility and sadness that we will take the stage in their stead, and in honor of China's memory.  Requested donation is $10.

9/11/2005 -  New FUCKING USA 7" now available for sale! - A very small amount of this new 7" EP release on the Abduction label has been procured for sale over at Electro Motive Records.  No expense was spared in flying Neung Phak to North Korea to record the A-side battle-cry tune - the first time an imperialist U.S. "rock band" has appeared on the soil of this forbidden nation!  The B-side features two cuts recorded live on the air at Evanston, Illinois' WNUR FM.

8/5/2005 - BATTLE OF THE SOUTHEAST ASIAN BANDS: Neung Phak vs. Dengue Fever... live on stage!
- For the first time in this or any hemisphere, Neung Phak and L.A.'s Dengue Fever perform on the same co-headlining bill at the Great American Music Hall on Friday, August 5!  Click here for details and to purchase tickets.

4/2/2005 - PUSSER'S PIHN PLAYS SAN FRANCISCO AGAIN - Neung Phak spinoff project, Pusser's Pihn, the all-Lao/Thai groove project led by ace pihn/guitar player Brently Pusser, hits the "enlarged" Hemlock Tavern (1131 Polk St. San Francisco - (415)923-0923). Also on the bill are Alvarius B. AND the Master Musicians of Bukkake. What a hoe-down!

2004:

10/29/2004 - HALLOWEEN WEEKEND WITH NEUNG PHAK AND SUN CITY GIRLS - Neung Phak/Mono Pause again shares the stage with Sun City Girls at the Bottom of the Hill, San Francisco on Friday, October 29. The big humdinger of a show also features Six Organs of Admittance and DJ Ursula, and it's the Girls' sole Bay Area appearance. Sure to be a sell-out, so get your tickets early at the (evil) Ticketweb.com or come early to the venue. SPECIAL BRAND-NEW LIMITED CD-R TO BE UNVEILED AT THE SHOW!

5/7-9/2004 - NEUNG PHAK INVADES THE MIDWEST IN SUPPORT OF SUN CITY GIRLS! The chameleonic trio from Seattle-by-way-of-Arizona known as Sun City Girls will headline three midwest shows in May with Neung Phak in support.

4/14/2004 - NEUNG PHAK LIVE!
Neung Phak plays their great hits, at the extremely intimate Hemlock Tavern (1131 Polk St. San Francisco - (415)923-0923) on WEDNESDAY 4/14, with Soft from Japan in the opening slot. Show begins around 10:30 PM. The Hemlock only holds about 70 people, so don't say you weren't warned if you find it very crowded in there or are unable to get in. Neung Phak will play again someday.
